You see, I have a vision—a very cool, very alive vision.
We’re standing at the edge of a Sauna Boom in the U.S. (Seriously—Google it.) And right now, we have the rare opportunity to shape the future of the industry. My dream? To lean away from sterile, profit-first spas and instead create outdoor sanctuaries that celebrate traditional sauna bathing in community. Spaces that are designed to help people rest, create, laugh, heal, and grow—together.
I want to be at the forefront of this movement in the Pacific Northwest, building places that feel magical.
If you’ve never visited Connect Wellness, you might not know how I like to design things. I’ve got this artist brain that’s constantly whispering “Ooooh wouldn’t that be cool?” I build with heart, soul, and salvaged materials—always finding ways to weave them into something both beautiful and functional.
Think: the Disneyland of spas.
✨ Twinkly lights
🌲 Nordic-inspired saunas that make you feel like you’re deep in a forest
🛁 Bathhouses that feel like a Japanese onsen
🌞 Outdoor magic meets community joy
👫 People who are genuinely happy to be there
Want to peek inside the dream? Here’s my Pinterest vision board.
I’ve been hunting for the perfect commercially zoned property with enough outdoor space to build our flagship location ever since I started dreaming back in 2019. But let’s be real—they’ve paved paradise and put up a parking lot. Most commercial properties are soulless concrete jungles.
But don’t worry—I’m more clever than your average bear.
I’ve got four solid leads on the radar, but I haven’t signed a lease yet. Why? Because until I know exactly how much funding we’ll have for the modular build, I’m holding steady. I’m not about to sign on the dotted line prematurely.
Here's how I see it all unfolding:
-
Investment Campaign: April 24 – June 5
-
Depending on campaign momentum, I’ll start using our line of credit to begin building the modular spa off-site
-
While that’s happening, I’ll finalize our location and—most importantly—REST. I need to refill my cup so I can pour all my energy into this next phase
-
Receive SMBX funds in mid-June
-
Complete the modular spa components
-
Sign lease + build out the interior space—think: check-in area, lockers, lounge, juice/snack/coffee bar, the whole vibe
-
Move the modular spa into place and open: somewhere between October–December 2025
My goal is to be fully operational before the fall busy season kicks off. I don’t want this to be a slow, drawn-out process—I want us in, ready, and buzzing.
Once I get this modular concept dialed in, I plan to replicate it across the Portland metro area. That’s the dream... at least for now.
But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that I can make a plan—and sometimes, God laughs.
So I stay open. I pivot when I need to. Because ultimately, everything flows better when I trust the process, let the business breathe, and follow where it leads.
