I promise you, working here is not what you think. Like any good relationship, we feel honesty is very important. We find this work very rewarding, but it is not for the faint of heart. Please take the following into consideration before applying.

We are an outdoor spa, so you will be exposed to weather elements. There are times when it is dark, cold, and rainy. There are times when it is very hot. We rarely close for weather-related events, and we want you to be comfortable showing up to work even when it’s miserable outside.
​
This is a job that will keep you active physically as well as mentally. You will be on your feet walking around more than you think. You must be comfortable with stairs and moving your body. At times, there is manual labor: chopping wood, moving this or that, and miscellaneous projects. We have an atmosphere of “many hands make light work.” No one is above anything here.
​
We are creating a culture of deep care. Deep care for our fellow co-workers, deep care for our customers, and deep care for anyone who steps onto our property. Having a heart-centered and people-focused mindset is critical to being successful here. We need you to care for yourself as well. This means over-communicating with our managers to make sure you are happy and thriving in your role.

This is a service industry job. We have to have the spa staffed at all times. We do our best to accommodate days off in a row and vacation requests, but this is not a Monday through Friday, 9–5 job. Spa duty personnel typically work weekends and additional shifts if staff are on vacation or sick. On average, our spa duty staff work anywhere from 8 to 35 hours per week. We invest a lot of time, energy and money into training new staff, so if you know you only have a few months to work, please do not apply. We are looking for team members who want to give us at least a year commitment.

As a smallish business, we don’t have it all figured out. A lot of systems and procedures are not ideal. You need to be comfortable working for a startup and have an adaptable personality. Things will break, and you will have to solve problems. It is both a physical and mental stretch working here but the staff that have stayed love this job.
​
You need to have reliable transportation. We have multiple locations and plans to grow more. We need you to be able to get to and from work reliably, no matter what location you are working at.
​
Most employees start with training and regular spa duty shifts before moving on to more responsibilities. We love to know what our staff is passionate about and what their specific gifting is, and we try to get them as many hours as possible in those positions.
