I really like these people...

I couldn’t do this without my team!

These wild humans are passionate about caring for everyone who steps onto our property. They care about your experience, your comfort, the cleanliness, and the vibe. We wouldn’t have all these rad Google reviews if I had a subpar team.

Over the past four years, I’ve had team members who were with us for just a short while, and others I hope are here for the long haul. I’m so grateful for every person who’s been part of our growth.

Beyond the amazing people featured here, Connect is also supported by an incredible community of contractors, volunteers, artisans, teachers, healers, and just plain amazing customers who make us who we are.

Here is our current team!

Meet Our Management Team

Behind every great visionary, there’s a team—the people working behind the scenes to bring dreams into reality. They handle the day-to-day so I can focus on what I do best. To say I’m grateful would be an understatement.

I’m the dreamer (and occasional chaos coordinator) behind Connect Wellness. I don’t spend much time looking back at what I’ve built—I'm way too hyped about whatever wild idea is coming next. Confidence? Got it. Fear? Don’t know her. I’ve made mistakes, laughed at myself, and once farted on a live Instagram feed... and survived to tell the tale. Truly unshakable.

Entrepreneurship runs deep in my family—like, 90% of my parents, siblings, and cousins are out there running their own shows. It’s basically genetic at this point. And honestly? I love it all. The problem-solving, the pivoting, the people, the pressure, the freedom—give me all of it.

I read a business book once that talked about staying in your "zone of genius," and I had a full-on mic drop moment. This is it. This is mine. And thank God for my incredible team, who graciously carry the torch when it comes to details and spreadsheets—because that is not my zone.

Shay Davis- Operations and HR manager.jpg

Shay
She was my very first paid employee. Shay first came to the spa for a 6 a.m. session with her mom—and I liked her mom just as much as I liked Shay. Always a good sign! We struck up a conversation. She was 24 at the time, selling pest control in the Midwest on a Segway. She didn’t love the job, but she was reading a book about understanding people to do it better. That’s the type of person I knew I wanted on my team one day.

Three months later, she moved back to Vancouver and came to a sound bath at the spa.
“OMG! I’ve been looking for you! What’s your name again?!”
She started part-time the next week. I entered her contact info in my phone as “Spa Manager.”

Soon I pulled her into full-time work—and now, she’s like family. So she’s stuck with me. 😄
She’s really good at her job. Honestly, she’s like my everything.

Hannah
I met Hannah really early on. At the time, my marketing strategy was to strike up conversations with as many random people as possible in the community. If I liked their energy, I’d ask, “So, what do you think about saunas?” It usually got a perplexed look, we’d giggle, and then I’d plug the spa.

I carried business cards with a promo code for a free session—very low pressure.
Back to Hannah: I was having a Bloody Mary by myself one Tuesday mid-morning, and she was the bartender. She was hilarious! I remember thinking, This girl is a fantastic storyteller.

I gave her a card.
She came to the spa.
Then she loved it.
Then she thought about working here… but didn’t make the leap until November 2023. Honestly, that timing was perfect, because we didn’t have the right spot for her before then. So—we made one.

Shay and I always say, “We wish we had 10 Hannahs.” She’s awesome.

Jessica Benjamin-Membership and Events.jpg

Jessica
Jessica was one of our very first spa members. I’d been open for about six months when she found her way to Connect—she was dealing with mold issues, and someone told her that sauna helps with detoxing. I’ll have to ask her to retell the story, because honestly, I don’t remember life before Jess.

I do remember when she started working. I had just prayed, “Lord, bring me another employee,” and the very next day, Jessica asked, “Hey, do you need any more help? I’m thinking about trying to work again.”

She’s a total mama bear: notices every detail, fiercely protective of her people, and loyal to a fault. She remembers everything I say (which is great for me), and she’s a wizard with data and spreadsheets. She’s my secret weapon.

Jessica also loves to spa and she truly cares about our customers. Most of her time is spent behind the scenes or out in the garden. She oversees all things flowers, veggies, and memberships.
